Decision:

(i)        to approve an increase in the pre-parity rate for all framework agency workers to at least the Living Wage figure for the year (currently £8.45); and

(ii)       to note the progress of the Council’s application for accreditation as a Living Wage employer

 

Minutes:

The Committee had before it a report by the Head of Finance which provided an update on the Council’s application for accreditation as a Living Wage employer and sought approval for an increase in the pre-parity rate for all framework agency workers.

 

The report recommended:-

that the Committee -

(a)       approve an increase in the pre-parity rate for all framework agency workers to at least the Living Wage figure for the year (currently £8.45); and

(b)       note the progress of the Council’s application for accreditation as a Living Wage employer.

 

The Committee resolved:-

to approve the recommendations.
