Decision:

(i)       to note the Corporate Risk Register as set out in Appendix A;

(ii)      to note that the Corporate Risk Register would be further developed to correlate risks with organisational outcomes and that this would be completed as the Local Outcome Improvement Planis refreshed;

(iii)      to note the progress being made with finalising Cluster Risk Registers for all Chief Officer areas and the proposed timetable for reporting those to relevant committees as set out in Appendix B; and

(iv)     in response to questions from Councillors Allard and Donnelly regarding the Workforce of the Future Risk specifically around the potential impact of Brexit for current and future employees from the EU, to note that the Interim Chief Officer People and Organisation would provide a response to the Committee outwith the meeting.

 

Minutes:

The Committee had before it a report by the Chief Officer Governance which presented the Corporate Risk Register in accordance with the Risk Management Framework.

 

The report recommended:

That the Committee -

(a)      note the Corporate Risk Register as set out in Appendix A;

(b)      note that the Corporate Risk Register would be further developed to correlate risks with organisational outcomes and that this would be completed as the Local Outcome Improvement Planis refreshed; and

(c)      note the progress being made with finalising Cluster Risk Registers for all Chief Officer areas and the proposed timetable for reporting those to relevant committees as set out in Appendix B.

 

Members asked various questions in relation to the content of the Corporate Risk Register.

 

The Committee resolved:-

(i)       in response to questions from Councillors Allard and Donnelly regarding the Workforce of the Future risk specifically around the potential impact of Brexit for current and future employees from the EU, to note that the Interim Chief Officer People and Organisation would provide a response to the Committee outwith the meeting; and

(ii)      to otherwise approve the recommendations contained in the report.
