Application for Variation of a Premises Licence - Grays Inn, Greenfern Road, Aberdeen PDF 97 KB Additional documents: Minutes: The Board heard from Sandy Munro, Depute Clerk to the Board that the variation sought to extend the outside drinking area at the front of the building. Mr Munro advised that the applicant had agreed to 2 out of the 3 standard external area conditions and sought a variation of the condition in respect of amplified music.
The Board had before them a letter of representation dated 15 September 2021 from Police Scotland and email of representation from the LSO.
Thereafter the Board heard from Mr Andrew Hunter in support of the application.
The Convenor moved to grant the application with the standard external conditions.
Councilor McLellan moved as an amendment to grant the application with an amended condition of low level music only in the external area which must be inaudible in neighbouring premises.
On a division there voted: - for the motion (5) the Convenor and Councillors Cameron, Townson, Greig and Grant and for the amendment (1) Councillor McLellan

Chief Constable's Annual Report 2020 -2021 PDF 513 KB Minutes: The Board had before them the Chief Constable’s Annual Report for 2020-2021. The Board heard from Segreant Flett who spoke to the report.
The Convenor on behalf of the Board thanked Police Scotland for producing the report and thanked Segreant Flett for her regular attendance at the Board meetings

Festive Guidelines Minutes: The Board heard from Sandy Munro, Depute Clerk to the Board. Mr Munro asked the Board to consider if it wished to set a general extension of the festive period as in previous years. Mr Munro advised that it is usually any premises whose regular licensed hours adhere to the maximum of 15 hours continuous trading in any 24 hour period.

Occasional Licences - Policy Minutes: The Board heard from Mr Munro, Depute Clerk to the Board that the Board were currently not applying part of its Licensing Policy in respect of Occasional Licences. He asked the Board to consider when they wish this relaxation of policy to cease.
Following discussion, it was considered that the relaxation should cease at the same time as the Spaces for People arrangements, which is January 2022.

That the relaxation of its Licensing Policy in respect of Occasional Licences would cease in January 2022. |
