Minutes: The Board heard from the LSO’s who advised on recent matters. This included a recent allegation of counterfeit vodka being sold across Scotland which they assisted in investigating. There was one premises within the City found to have had it in their possession. There is an ongoing investigation with Food Standards Scotland on this.
They also advised of a £2 pint promotion being offered by Greene King within the City. They spoke to management at Greene King and advised they couldn’t sell one pint for £2 and then jump up to the regular price for subsequent pints as this would breach the 72-hour conditions.
They made the Board aware of a number of premises who have not been trading for a significant time and are making some further enquiries into this, as well as premises operating under Occasional Licences for more than two years. Sandy Munro was able to give updates on a couple of the premises mentioned within the documentation.
