(i) to acknowledge the objections received as a result of the public advertisements for the proposed Traffic Regulation Orders;
(ii) in principle, approve “The Aberdeen City Council (Macaulay Drive, Aberdeen) (Redetermination of Means of Exercise of Public Right of Passage) Order 202_” be made, however, in terms of the statutory process, instruct the Chief Officer, Operations and Protective Services, to refer the matter to the Scottish Ministers for a final decision on the proposed order;
(iii) to instruct the Chief Officer – Operations and Protective Services to consult with local members and the community council after 12 months of the operation of the Macaulay Drive redetermination; and, if issues are raised through the consultation processfrom a pedestrian safety perspective, a report be brought back to this committee by that Chief Officer, identifying whether any further measures may be needed.
(iv) to approve “The Aberdeen City Council (Disabled Persons’ Parking Places in Aberdeen City) (Regulatory Parking Places) (Ref.B) Order 202_” be made and brought into effect; and
(v) to approve “The Aberdeen City Council (Burnbutts Crescent, Aberdeen) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 202_” be modified to the lesser extent specified by the plan in Appendix 5 and brought into effect.
The Committee resolved:-
(i) to acknowledge the objections received as a result of the public advertisement for “The Aberdeen City Council (Deeside Drive Area, Aberdeen) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 202(X)” and
(ii) to approve the proposed order should be made; albeit modified, with a section of prohibition of waiting at any time on Deeside Drive removed from the proposed order (thereby approving the plan shown in Appendix 2).
The Committee resolved:-
(i) to note the ongoing work to mainstream equality in the Council as detailed in the Equality Outcomes and Mainstreaming Progress Report 2021- 2025;
(ii) to note the progress of the Equality Outcomes 2017 – 2021 as contained in Appendix 1 of the Equality Outcomes and Mainstreaming Progress Report 2021- 2025;
(iii) to note the report findings from engagement with communities as contained in Appendix 5;
(iv) to approve the Equality Outcomes for Aberdeen City Council for 2021 to 2025 including:
· Corporate Equality Outcomes,
· Equality Outcomes for the Council as an employer,
· Education Equality Outcomes
all as detailed in the Equality Outcomes and Mainstreaming Progress Report 2021- 2025;
(v) to approve that the Equality Outcomes and Mainstreaming Progress Report 2021-2025 (in so far as it relates to Aberdeen City Council) be published on the Aberdeen City Council website; and
(vi) to approve that the Council’s Employee Information, as contained in Appendix 2 to the Equality Outcomes and Mainstreaming Progress Report 2021- 2025, be published on the Aberdeen City Council website.
