The Committee had before it a report by the Interim Director of Communities, Housing and Infrastructure which sought approval to proceed with procurement of a contractor to carry out basic insulation measures (loft, cavity-wall and underfloor insulation) to a number of dwellings, in order for council to meet its commitments for 2017-18 and 2018-19 and help alleviate fuel poverty, improve housing energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
