The Committee resolved:-
(i) to note the review as recorded within the report;
(ii) to agree the current pedestrian crossing infrastructure on King’s Gate near Forest Road meets the needs of local people, including children and their families walking to local schools; and
(iii) to note that the results of observational surveys and a cursory pedestrian routes to school plotting exercise showed a moderate demand to cross King’s Gate near Moray Place, and instruct the Chief Officer, Operations and Protective Services to install a new pedestrian island with minor adjustments to the existing infrastructure.
