Decision:
(i) to approve the introduction of the new corporate guidance on failure to attend work due to bad weather, to replace the two existing policies; and
(ii) to instruct officers to report back on the guidance in one year.
Minutes:
The Committee had before it a report by the acting Director of Corporate Governance which proposed the replacement of the two current policies on failure to attend work due to bad weather (non-teaching and teaching), with a set of new corporate guidance.
The report recommended –
that the Committee approve the introduction of the new corporate guidance on failure to attend work due to bad weather, to replace the two existing policies.
The Committee resolved:-
(i) to approve the recommendation; and
(ii) to instruct officers to report back to the Committee on the guidance in one year.
