Issue - meetings

(i)         to approve the proposal that for all new appointments, the Council recognises continuous service accrued with NHS Grampian for the purposes of calculating entitlement to occupational sick pay, maternity, adoption and paternity pay, shared paternal leave /pay and annual leave only; and

(ii)        that officers be instructed to contact NHS Grampian advising them of the decision of the Committee and to agree a reciprocal arrangement whereby formal written notification would be required if any party wishes to withdraw from the agreement.

The Committee had before it a report by the Head of Finance which sought approval for all new appointments, the Council will recognise continuous service accrued with NHS Grampian for the purposes of calculating entitlement to occupational sick pay, maternity, adoption and paternity pay, shared paternal leave/pay and annual leave.

The report recommended:-

that the Committee approve the proposal that for all new appointments, the Council recognises continuous service accrued with NHS Grampian for the purposes of calculating entitlement to occupational sick pay, maternity, adoption and paternity pay, shared paternal leave /pay and annual leave only.

The Committee resolved:-

(i)         to approve the recommendation; and

(ii)        that officers be instructed to contact NHS Grampian advising them of the decision of the Committee and to agree a reciprocal arrangement whereby should the Council or NHS Grampian no longer wish to continue with this undertaking that each party lets the other know by way of formal written notification.
