Issue - meetings

(i)         to approve extension of the existing contract for a period of 1 year from 1st April 2017 until 31st March 2018, and approve the expenditure as specified in the exempt report;

(ii)        to delegate authority to the Interim Director of Communities, Housing and Infrastructure, following consultation with the Head of Commercial and Procurement Services, to undertake a tender process for the procurement and thereafter award of a contract for Aberdeen Care & Repair service for a period of 3 years from 1st April 2018, with the option to extend for a further two years until 31st March 2023;

(iii)       to delegate authority to the Head of Commercial and Procurement Services, to conclude a contract with the successful bidder(s); and

(iv)       to approve the total estimated expenditure for the new contract of as specified in the exempt report.

The Committee had before it a report by the Interim Director of Communities, Housing and Infrastructure which sought approval to carry out a tender exercise for the Aberdeen Care & Repair Service.

The Committee resolved:-

to approve the recommendations within the exempt report.
