Issue - meetings

(i)           to note the resignation of Mr Fred Dalgarno as a Director and Chairperson of the Sport Aberdeen Board and to pay tribute to him for the work he had carried out; and

(ii)          to approve the appointment of Mr Colin Taylor as the new Chairperson of Sport Aberdeen.

The Council had before it a report by the Head of Legal and Democratic Services which advised of the resignation of Mr Fred Dalgarno as the Chairperson of Sport Aberdeen and requested approval of the appointment of his replacement.

The report recommended:-

that the Council -

(a)          note the resignation of Mr Fred Dalgarno as a Director and Chairperson of the Sport Aberdeen Board; and

(b)          approve the appointment of Mr Colin Taylor as the new Chairperson of Sport Aberdeen.

The Council resolved:-

(i)           to approve the recommendations; and

(ii)          to pay tribute to Mr Dalgarno for the work he had carried out in relation to Sport Aberdeen.
