Decision:
to note the content of the report and endorse the recommendations for improvement as agreed by the Service.
Minutes:
The Committee had before it a report by the Internal Auditor which presented an audit in relation to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction which considered whether (1) entitlement being paid was supported by the appropriate documentary evidence; (2) the calculations were accurate; and (3) the Housing Benefit had been properly recorded for subsidy purposes.
The report recommended:-
That the Committee review, discuss and comment on the issues raised within the report and the attached appendix.
The Committee resolved:-
to note the content of the report and endorse the recommendations for improvement as agreed by the Service.
