Issue - meetings

With reference to article 7 of the minute of meeting of 9 March 2017, the Committee had before it a report by the interim Director of Communities, Housing and Infrastructure which provided information on the ‘Food and Fun’ work undertaken in priority localities across the city during the school Summer holidays in 2017.

The report recommended:-

that the Committee –

(a)       note the content of the report and positive impact the provision of food and fun had within the pilot neighbourhoods; and

(b)       request the Head of Communities and Housing to report back to the next Finance, Policy and Resources Committee setting out a plan for providing meals to school children during school holidays and the budget requirements to deliver this.

The Committee resolved:-

to approve the recommendations.
