to approve the recommendations contained within the exempt report.

With reference to article 13 of the minute of meeting of 24 April 2018, the Committee had before it a report by the Chief Officer- City Growth which sought approval to proceed with a bid for UNESCO Creative Cities designation.

The report recommended:-

that the Committee –

(a)       note the business cases presented for two UNESCO Creative Cities

designations;

(b)       note the consultation and research undertaken; and

(c)       instruct the Chief Officer - City Growth to proceed with developing a bid

proposal for an application for the City of Crafts and Folk Art designation and to report back to Committee with the full costings for a submitted bid.

The Committee resolved:-

to approve the recommendations.
