The Committee resolved:-

(i)          to note that there would be a review of the operation of the flexible models for nursery provision which would be concluded by December 2021, and to request that the Chief Officer – Education report back to Committee in January 2022 on the evaluation undertaken; and

(ii)         to approve the updated Aberdeen City Council ELC Admissions Policy 2021 and instruct the Chief Operating Officer to implement the policy with effect from 21 January 2021.

With reference to article 11 of the minute of its meeting of 12 November 2019, the Committee had before it a report by the Chief Operating Officer which sought approval for the updated Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Admissions Policy which had been amended to take account of the ELC expansion programme and the phasing in of additional hours up to 1140 hours funded ELC provision.

The report recommended:-

that Committee approve the updated Aberdeen City Council ELC Admissions Policy 2021 and instruct the Chief Operating Officer to implement the policy with effect from 21 January 2021.

The Committee resolved:-
