Issue - meetings

The Committee resolved :-

(i)            to note that that the Council approved the Local Child Poverty Action Plan Report for 2019/20 in accordance with the requirements of the Child Poverty (Scotland) Act 2017 at the meeting of the Operational Delivery Committee on 13 January 2021; and

(ii)          to note that following the Operational Delivery Committee on 13January 2021 the Local Child Poverty Action Plan Report for 2019/20 was submitted to the Scottish Government as required.

The Committee had before it the report from the Chief Officer – Early Intervention and Community Empowerment.

The report presented information to provide assurance to the Committee that the Child Poverty Action Plan Report 2019/20 had been agreed by the Operational Delivery Committee.

Members heard from the Chief Officer – Early Intervention and Community Empowerment who referenced the Community Planning Outcomes Profile and displayed this to Members.

The report recommended :-

that the Committee –

a)            note that that the Council had approved the Local Child Poverty Action Plan  Report for 2019/20 in accordance with the requirements of the Child Poverty (Scotland) Act 2017 at the meeting of the Operational Delivery  Committee on 13 January 2021; and

b)            note that following the Operational Delivery Committee on 13January 2021 the Local Child Poverty Action Plan Report for 2019/20 was submitted to the Scottish Government as required.

The Committee resolved :-

to approve the recommendations.
