Issue - meetings

The Committee resolved:-

(i)       to note the contents of the report;

(ii)       to instruct the Chief Officer - Education to continue to keep Committee apprised of resultant changes in Scottish Government policy; and

(iii)      to instruct the Chief Officer – Education to keep Committee updated of how changed national policies are being implemented locally.

The Committee had before it a report by the Chief Operating Officer which provided Members with oversight of the published Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Organisation report which was instructed by the Scottish Government to help assess the impact of the Curriculum for Excellence.

The report recommended:-

that Committee –

(a)      note the contents of the report;

(b)      instruct the Chief Officer - Education to continue to keep Committee apprised of resultant changes in Scottish Government policy; and

(c)      instruct the Chief Officer – Education to keep Committee updated of how changed national policies are being implemented locally.

The Committee resolved:-

to approve the recommendations.
