Declarations of Interest and Transparency Statements

Decision:

Councillor Macdonald declared an interest in relation to item 13.3 (Request for Bank and Pension Fund Guarantees) by virtue of her being a member of Aberdeen Heat and Power Ltd. She considered that the nature of her interest would require her to leave the meeting prior to consideration of the item.

 

Councillor Grant declared an interest in relation to agenda item 13.4 (Wallace Tower) by virtue of him being a former Chairman of the Tillydrone Community Development Trust. He considered that the nature of his interest would require him to leave the meeting prior to consideration of the item.

 

Councillor Cooke declared an interest in relation to agenda items 9.5 (Place Based Investment Programme) and 13.3 (Request for Bank and Pension Fund Guarantees) by virtue of him being a member of the Vestry at St Mary’s Cathedral and a member of the Pensions Committee respectively. He considered that the nature of his interests would require him to leave the meeting prior to consideration of these items.

 

Councillor Cooke further advised that he had a connection in relation to agenda item 12.1 (Condition and Suitability 3 Year Programme) which related to a number of facilities operated by Sport Aberdeen, by virtue of him being an observer member on the Board of Sport Aberdeen, however having applied the objective test, he did not consider that he had an interest and would not be withdrawing from the meeting.

Members were requested to intimate any declarations of interest or transparency statements in respect of the items on today’s agenda, thereafter the following were intimated:-

 

(1)      Councillor Macdonald declared an interest in relation to item 13.3 (Request for Bank and Pension Fund Guarantees) by virtue of her being a member of Aberdeen Heat and Power Ltd.
