(i) to approve the policy proposed for the use of any net surplus income arising from Low Emission Zone (LEZ) enforcement; and
(ii) to instruct the Chief Officer – Strategic Place Planning to submit a report to this Committee in Summer 2025 identifying the costs and income associated with operation of the LEZ during the 2024/25 financial year, including a proposed programme for the use of any surplus income.
Minutes:
The Committee had before it a report by the Director of Commissioning which sought approval for a policy for the use of any net surplus income arising from enforcement of the Low Emission Zone (LEZ).
The report recommended:-
that the Committee –
(a) approve the policy proposed for the use of any net surplus income arising from Low Emission Zone (LEZ) enforcement; and
(b) instruct the Chief Officer – Strategic Place Planning to submit a report to this Committee in Summer 2025 identifying the costs and income associated with operation of the LEZ during the 2024/25 financial year, including a proposed programme for the use of any surplus income.
The Committee resolved:-
to approve the recommendations.
