Gambling Act 2005 - Variation of Premises Licence- William Hill, 23 Scotstown Road, Bridge Of Don, Aberdeen, AB22 8HH pdf icon PDF 50 KB

Minutes:

Mr Munro, solicitor for the Board, advised the Board this was a variation application for an internal re configuration.  The application had not attracted any representations and was in line with Board Policy.  The applicant had therefore been advised his attendance was not required and had decided to take this opportunity. 

 

The Board resolved:-

 

To grant the application.

Variation of Premises Licence - Trinity Hall, Holburn Street, Aberdeen, AB10 6DA pdf icon PDF 55 KB

Minutes:

Mr Munro advised the Board the applicant already had a club licence but were now looking to open up their offering to non-members.  The club will surrender their existing club licence if granted a premises licence.  The application had not attracted any representations and was in line with Board Policy.  The applicant had therefore been advised his attendance was not required and had decided to take this opportunity. 

 

The Board resolved:-

 

To grant the application.

Minutes:

The Board had before them a letter of representation from Police Scotland dated 18 July 2017 and Memo from Diane Sande, LSO, dated 19 July 2017.

 

Mr Cummings, solicitor for applicant, addressed the Board in support of the application.  Mr Cummings provided an updated wording for young person’s access which was distributed to the Board. 

 

Thereafter, The Board heard Sergeant Flett speak to the letter. 

Thereafter Diane Sande, LSO, spoke to her letter.

 

 

The Board resolved:-

To grant the amended application with the local condition drugs policy

Mr Munro advised the Board the application had not attracted any representations and was in line with Board Policy.  The applicant had therefore been advised his attendance was not required and had decided to take this opportunity.

The Board had before them a letter of representation from Police Scotland dated 27 September 2017, LSO memo dated 29 September 2017 and letter of objection from a member of public dated 13 September 2017. 

 

Theresa Hunt, solicitor for the applicant alongside Martin Brown on behalf of the applicant, addressed the Board in support of the application.

 

Thereafter, The Board heard Sergeant Flett speak to the letter.

To grant the application with conditions regarding late hours opening.

Mr Munro advised the Board the application had  attracted representations from Police Scotland and the Licensing Standards Officer, however these had since been withdrawn, Mr Munro asked Sargent Flett and Diane Sande to confirm this to the Board. 

 

Sargent Flett and Diane Sande confirmed that their respective representations had been withdrawn

 

Mr Munro advised that this was therefore a non-contentious applications and was in line with Board Policy.  The applicant had therefore been advised his attendance was not required and had decided to take this opportunity.

To grant the application as amended.

Mr Munro advised the Board the application had  attracted representations from Police Scotland and the Licensing Standards Officer, however these had since been withdrawn, Mr Munro asked Sargent Flett and Diane Sande to confirm this to the Board.

Mr Munro advised the Board it had been suggested the applicant may be looking to withdraw this application but that Mr Cummings was here and he may provide further details.

 

Mr Cummings, solicitor for the applicant advised the applicant was seeking a deferral in order to address some of the issues raised in the consultation responses.

Sandy Munro, Solicitor for the Licensing Board, advised the Board had previously approved 2.1 and 3.2 of the report. 

 

The Convenor, advised the Board that the report suggested nothing but tightened up what was already being done for good governance.
