Determination of Urgent Business

Minutes:

In terms of Standing Order 28(5)(vi), and in accordance with Section 50(B)(4)(b) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, the Sub Committee was informed that it had to determine: (1) that the items on the agenda were of an urgent nature; and (2) that the Sub Committee required to consider the items and take a decision thereon.

 

The Sub Committee resolved:

to agree that the items were of an urgent nature and required to be considered this day.

Application for a Variation of a Cinema Licence - Vue, The Lighthouse Cinema, 10 Shiprow, Aberdeen pdf icon PDF 58 KB

Minutes:

            The Sub Committee had before it correspondence from Poppleston Allen, agents for Vue Cinema which sought an extension of their cinema licence hours for a 24 hour period from 16th December 2015 until 6th January, 2016 to show Star Wars – The Force Awakens.

 

The Sub Committee resolved:-

to grant the variation of the cinema licence as detailed above.

Minutes:

The Sub Committee had before it 6 requests for film classification for Cineworld as follows:-

(a)          Don’t Ruin Christmas - Suggested rating (15);

(b)          How Are You Getting Home - Suggested rating (12A);

(c)           Low Battery – Suggested rating (12A);

(d)          Online Privacy – Suggested rating (12A);

(e)          Walk Away – Suggested rating (15)

(f)            What’s In Your Drink – Suggested rating (15);

 

The Sub Committee resolved:

to approve the film classification certificates as listed above.
