Public Charitable Collection

Minutes:

The Sub Committee heard from Mrs Ruth O’Hare, Legal Advisor, who advised that a notification in respect of a proposed public charitable collection to be held in the city centre on 30 June 2016 by Interpal had been submitted.  She explained that the notification had originally been for 23 June 2016, however due to an administrative error regarding the first notification, a revised submission had been received, however this did not comply with the statutory 28 day notice period.

She intimated that the Sub Committee if it so wished, could decide to waive the period of notice and accept the late notification.

The applicant was not in attendance.

The Sub Committee resolved:

to make an order to waive the statutory 28 day notice period.
