Catriona Mackenzie was elected as a Councillor in the Torry/Ferryhill ward of Aberdeen City Council in May 2017. Prior to becoming a Councillor Catriona worked as a local broadcast journalist in Aberdeen before moving into work in press relations. Catriona was born in Aberdeen and raised in the city and shire, as well as living for a time in the USA and Middle East before returning home a decade ago. She is a graduate of both the University of Aberdeen, where she studied English and music, and the Robert Gordon University where she studied journalism. Catriona has a keen interest in music and the arts, and is a keen reader.
