PERSONAL LICENCE REVIEW HEARINGS

 

PERSONAL LICENCE NO. AC/2373

2.1       Sergeant Skinner addressed the Board on behalf of the Chief Constable.  The licence holder addressed the Board on his own behalf.

 

The Board resolved:-

to take no action in the matter.

 

 

PERSONAL LICENCE NO. AC/2753

2.2       Sergeant Skinner addressed the Board on behalf of the Chief Constable.  A friend of the licence holder addressed the Board on behalf of the licence holder who was present.

 

The Board resolved:-

to endorse the personal licence.

 

 

3.

Proposals from Unight - letter dated 14 July 2012 pdf icon PDF 56 KB

Minutes:

The Board had before it a letter dated 14 July, 2012 from Chris Fowler, Vice Chairman on behalf of Unight Aberdeen, which is a group representing late opening premises in the city, and heard John McGivney address the Board on the terms of the letter.

 

The letter requested that the Board consider the following (1) amend its general extensions policy by deleting the extra one hour extension given on the May local holiday and on Christmas Eve and replace these by an extra one hour extension on St Patrick’s Day (17 March) and Halloween (31 October); and (2) attach a local condition to late opening premises licences to the effect that the licence holder should be an active member of a local alcohol focus community project (such as Unight Aberdeen, Safer Aberdeen or Bar/Pub Watch).  The term “active” was defined as reflecting a 60% attendance at a group meeting in any calendar year.

 

The Board resolved:-

to meet with members of Unight on a date to be agreed by the Convener and in the meantime to note the terms of the letter.

Premises Licence Review: Regent Bridge Bar, 30 Regent Quay, Aberdeen

Minutes:

Sergeant Skinner addressed the Board on behalf of the Chief Constable.
Mr Dawson, Solicitor addressed the Board on behalf of the licence holder.

 

The Board resolved:-

to issue a written warning.

1.         APPLICATION FOR GRANT OF PREMISES LICENCE

Premises – Mastrick Grocer, 9 Greenfern Place, Aberdeen

 

The Board had before it a letter of objection and heard the objector speak in its support.

 

Mr Dawson, Solicitor, addressed the Board in support of the application.

 

The Board resolved:-

to grant the application.

 

 

2.         APPLICATION FOR GRANT OF PREMISES LICENCE

Premises – Reddys, 110 - 112 Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen

 

The applicant addressed the Board in support of his application.

 

The Board resolved:-

to grant the application.

 

 

3.         APPLICATION FOR GRANT OF PROVISIONAL PREMISES LICENCE

Premises – Hazlehead Park Café, Hazlehead Park, Aberdeen

 

Mr Dawson, Solicitor, addressed the Board in support of the application.

 

The Board resolved:-

to grant the application on condition that the area which provided the outdoor drinking facilities was enclosed by a way of a grass screen along its boundary.

Premises – Tesco Superstore, Woodend Hospital, Rousay Drive, Aberdeen

 

The Board had before it a letter of objection and heard the objector speak in its support.

The Board resolved:-

Mr Dawson, Solicitor, addressed the Board in support of the application.

Premises – Palm Court Hotel, 18 Seafield Road, Aberdeen

 

Mr Wood, Solicitor, addressed the Board in support of the application.  In his address he sought to withdraw that part of the application which referred to the variation of core licensing hours on Sundays.

 

The Board resolved:-

to grant the application as amended.
